Board of Directors

The Tellefsen Hall Association is a California non-profit corporation founded in 1960 with the purpose of providing a home for members of the Cal Band. The Association is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of 18 members, headed by a 5-member Executive Committee. The Executive Committee, composed of the Board President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Member-at-Large, meets once a month to discuss and review policy. The full Board of Directors meets concurrently with the Executive Committee on alternate months.

Members of the Board are selected to serve for terms of three years, and can be nominated to serve for multiple consecutive terms. The same rules also govern the nomination and service of Executive Committee Members. Three officers serve ex officio as Members of the Board: the current Director of the Cal Band, the Director Emeritus of the Cal Band, and the House President. The Director and Director Emeritus are appointed for life, or until they relinquish their posts. The House President is a student elected annually by House Members to serve a one-year term on the Board.
